

FRAME STORY- performance by Petr Krátky

Frame story is a literary devise that provides the framework for connecting a series of otherwise unrelated stories. Czech artist Petr Kratky is trying to deconstruct the art interpretation through this technique. During his performance you will assist to re-interpret the artworks of Svatopluk Mikyta by comprehending it in a personal way, detached from the original concept of the art work.
"Searching and finding answers can often be in conflict with the real intention of the author. By the questions they can find out what the viewer actually sees and reads in their work. Possibility of individual interpretation of art is one of its greatest strengths so the value of interviews can never be wrong." (Petr Kratky)
The selection of Petr's video art will be displayed within Svatopluk's exhibition.
Born in Prague in 1985, the young and reckless Petr Kratky was resident of various international programs such as Rhode Island School of Design (US), Erasmus Willem de Kooning Academy(NL), Academy of Fine Arts (CZ), and now of Art Quarter Budapest (HU). Furthermore, Petr Kratky was exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Czech Republic , US and Netherlands.
